I am very pleased with my services from the staff at 7 O’Clock Dental and Dr. Tripp. The office is very clean and I was welcomed by Crystal at the front desk that made me at ease. I had a tooth that needed to be removed and I was extremely nervous about the procedure, but Dr. Tripp assured me that I would be fine. He removed the tooth and I could not believe it when he told me he was done. It was painless and extremely quick. I would recommend 7 O’Clock Dental to anyone seeking dental treatment.
We’re more than one month into 2017, and our New Orleans dental team wants to check up on you. Are you fulfilling your new year’s smile goals?
Have you scheduled your exams for the year? If you haven’t done either of these things, don’t worry. We are here to help. 7 O’Clock Dental is New Orleans’ premier family dental location. We treat patients of all ages and dental complications, whether you’re in need of restorative dentistry or general preventive care. Here’s what we can do for your smile.
A dental cleaning and exam can go a long way …
How original for a dentist to suggest a dental cleaning, right? OK, we admit it. But do you know everything we do for your mouth during those cleanings? Probably not. Our staff loves meeting new patients and helping them improve their oral health. Everyone’s smile is different, bit everyone can benefit from a cleaning.
During a routine dental cleaning, we will scrape away any plaque or tartar buildup and exam the teeth for signs of decay. Once the teeth are cleaned, we polish the teeth to reduce the risk of plaque and bacteria sticking to the surface of the tooth between now and your next dental visit. If you struggle with cavities, you might ask about our fluoride treatments.
We also check the health of your gums.
Important Note: A gum disease check is vital, as gum disease is the number one cause of tooth loss and has been linked to overall health problems like heart disease and diabetes. Advanced gum disease, called periodontitis, can cause the gum tissue and bone to erode. Gum disease can strike with little to no warning and stay with you for the rest of your life.
Quickly glamorize your smile
Is there one thing about your smile you’re dying to change? Is it the shade? Or maybe the shape of your teeth? Chances are you would like to fix one aspect of your teeth. There are some basic cosmetic dental procedures that can help you quickly turn around your smile. You can have a better smile by this time next month!
1. Try teeth whitening: Tooth whitening procedures are purely cosmetic and do not strengthen the teeth, but whitening can give your teeth a healthier look. Dingy or stained teeth can be distracting and make you look unattractive. A simple whitening treatment can change all of that. We use KoR whitening system, which is one of the most powerful whitening units on the market. KoR treatment begins in the office, but you’ll finish the treatment at home.
* Most dental whitening units can enhance your smile by about 8 shades. KoR can enhance your smile by 16 shades!
The only requirement for whitening treatment is that you are free of gum disease or tooth decay.
2. Make your smile pop with veneers. Stained teeth are one thing, but some of us may have more than dental stains. As we age, sometimes we develop chips, cracks, and small breaks in our teeth. Or maybe we have uneven teeth. Dental veneers can be placed over the course of two visits, though this does require us to remove a small portion of your enamel. Once we have prepared the tooth, we’ll take an impression to make sure the veneers fit perfectly. Our veneers are ultra-thin and do not stain.
