New Orleans Dentist Unveils New Minimally Invasive Laser Treatment
NEW ORLEANS, LA – A New Orleans dentist has added a new laser treatment that eliminates pain and lengthy recovery times for patients undergoing soft-tissue treatments.
Dr. John Tripp, a dedicated cosmetic dentist who operates 7 O’Clock Dental, LLC, can use a noninvasive dental laser to complete gum disease treatments, gingivectomies, gum recontouring and even teeth whitening.
“Patients are surprised at the effectiveness and simplicity of the procedures,” Dr. Tripp said. “The laser treatment allows for optimal healing and can be completed in just one visit, so patients don’t have to worry about scheduling multiple dental appointments.”
Soft-tissue laser treatment is used as an alternative to traditional gum surgery. For years, dentists treated gum issues with painful surgery that required scalpels and stitches. Dr. Tripp said the new cutting-edge laser procedure can treat a wide variety of oral issues, including gum disease.
About 75 percent of adults will struggle with some form of gum disease in their lives. In serious cases, gum infections can cause a periodontal pocket to form between the gum and the tooth. Soft-tissue lasers can be used to remove the infection in the gums, promoting healthy reattachment of the gum and tooth.
“There are so many patients out there who have gum issues, and they deserve a treatment that is affordable, and noninvasive,” Dr. Tripp said. “Our patients appreciate the advanced treatment and continued effort to implement the latest dental technology.”
7 O’Clock Dental, LLC, 2101 South Claiborne Ave., Ste. F, provides quality preventive dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry, wisdom tooth removal and root canal therapy.
Dr. Tripp has trained to provide patients ClearCorrect, a revolutionary cosmetic and orthodontic solution that straightens teeth without metal brackets or wires. ClearCorrect uses clear trays to gradually straighten the teeth. The treatment is virtually undetectable, and the trays can be easily removed for cleaning and eating.
Dr. Tripp recently started his own practice after working as an associate dentist for four years. Originally from Macon, Ga., Dr. Tripp earned his undergraduate degree from Xavier University of Louisiana and received his dental degree from Meharry Medical College.
Dr. Tripp uses state-of-the-art technology to ensure that patients receive the most gentle and advanced care available. The practice uses digital X-rays to reduce radiation exposure, intraoral cameras for patient diagnosis and education, and DentalVibe to provide pain-free Novocain delivery.
